Cooking Food With Flavor

Mary "Klibs" Dralle started to cook for her family when she was 12 years old and her grandmother, Helen Dralle, came out to her Southern California kitchen for a vacation. She taught Mary how to make one basic cookie recipe and then told her to master that one recipe and then use it to make other cookies. That was the start of something wonderful, expanding one recipe into several versions. During her teenage years, Mary supplemented her income by babysitting and house-sitting. This led to reading cookbooks and writing down recipes, modifying them and trying them out on her family as it was her responsibility to do the grocery shopping and meal preparation. Thus, the love of cooking began. While in college, she was a nanny to a couple of families and introduced many a wild dish, like Eggplant Parmesan, to the children which would later become requested favorites.

Cookin with Klibs Presents a Holiday Cooking Class

Attention Gardeners and Gourmands,

Sometimes it is good to serve a variety of small dishes that make up your meal along with a small raw food salad on the side. A tasty finish to a meal of variety is the current popular cake from the South, Red Velvet. Dishes Served: Traditional, Raw and Vegan

 Recipes and tastings will be offered for each dish. One participant will receive a gift to start a wonderful family tradition.

Items to be prepared will be:

Salmon Croquettes 

Krab stuffed Mushrooms

Smashed Potatoes on a Paramsen cheese plate

Fruit and cheese on a pretzel stick Kabob

Julienned Vegetable Salad Boats with Creamy Horseradish Dressing

Red Velvet Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

Attendees can bring their own wine.  The foods being served here pair well with a good Chardonnay or a Pinot Noir.
